Aim of Cultural Committee:

Cultural committee is a part of co-curricular activities and plays a vital role in making teaching and learning experience exciting  for both students and teachers.

As author BernieTrilling and Charles Fadel have premised in their Book “21st Century Skills: Learning for Life in Ourtimes”  that ‘The world has changed so fundamentally in the last few decades that the role of Learning education in day-to-day living has also changed forever.’

The core of education and learning should be to foster Holistic development.Co-curricular activities are designed and balanced with academic curriculum so that every student gets to learn beyond the subject.Cultural committee  organizes different activities like debate, declamation, art and craft, creative writing and celebration on days of international and national importance so as to inculcate   12 essential skills namely logical and analytical thinking, critical thinking, problem solving skills, leadership skills, social skills, emotional skills, communicational skills, technological skills, social values, ethical values, recreational values.

Co-curricular activities organised by cultural committee helps in Holistic development of students and assist in developing critical abilities to be successful and happy in the 21st Century life and workplace.

7.26/11/2018National Constitution Day: Teacher’s and students’ participated in Oath taking ceremony and   a brief history, and importance of Indian Constitution was disseminated to the participants in the  interactive  session

10.11/11/2019National Education Day, Shri Guru Nanak’550th Birth Anneversiary and Wazir Ram Singh Pathania’sMartarom Day: This event was organized in college in collaboration with subject societies participation in which audio-visual Documentary displayed and Elocution completion organized .

4.19/12/2018 to 20/12/2018Two days Inter College Competition organised by GDC Dhaliara, Our student Amandeep participated in Elocution and Gaurav participated in Gazal and Lokgeet categories and won first prize in lokgeet section.

8.12/01/2020Our student participate in declamation contest organized by Vivekanad Trust .She  won first prize and received  award from Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Hon’bleShriJaiRam in a public function held at Palampur.
